Where is the church located? We are on South Peace Haven Road about one mile south of Highway 421 as you go toward Clemmons. McGregor Road intersects with South Peace Haven right by our church.
What is the schedule of activities? Our Sunday School Bible Study groups start at 9:45 and go until 10:45. Our morning worship service starts at 11:00 and ends at noon. Currently on Wednesdays our Prayer Meeting and Bible Study group meets at 3:00 and the choir rehearses at 4:00.
Do I have to dress any particular way? There is no dress code for participating in the events at our church. Dress comfortably. Some folks will be dressed casually while some may be dressed in dresses or suits. All are fine and appropriate.
What is the worship service like? Currently our worship service has a traditional style. We read scripture, sing hymns and songs, pray, collect an offering and the preacher has a sermon for us. We do use some contemporary music and a variety of Bible translations are used. We won't ask our guests to stand up in front of everyone to introduce themselves.
Do I have to give an offering? No one has to give an offering. Believers are encouraged to give regularly as part of their faith practice. Guests are free to give but it is not expected. The church does not assess giving or have members make pledges for their giving.
What kind of a church is West Side? We are a typical Baptist church. We emphasize a personal belief in Jesus Christ, the value of scripture and helping others through service. We are friendly and welcome guests. We would love to have you worship with us one Sunday.
